All mattress stores advertise “Low price” mattresses. Then they start adding gimmicks to make people think they have something special.
One chain advertises “No deceptive advertising” which is funny to me because many things they do are somewhat deceptive and full of “Bull”. They advertise and indicate that they are a “Mom & Pop” store while they have over 12 locations in at least three different States. They do so because they believe that many people want to do business with a “Mom & Pop” type of store. Then, they advertise….. “Super low overhead / because we don’t spend much on advertising”. Meanwhile they spend plenty of money on online advertising. Then they top everything off by posting reviews they wrote themselves.
Because most people are impulse shoppers, this type of advertising works and I’m sure they sell plenty of mattresses. That’s because these days people are in a hurry and don’t want to get in more traffic and drive to another store to compare.
Charleston Bedding is a true Mom & Pop store. Our advertising budget is a few hundred dollars per month. (We depend on our customers to spread the word about us). We also cut out the middle men. At this store you are talking with the actual owner who gets his mattresses directly from the factory. Therefore we are able to offer the lowest prices in town and better quality.
